Well, guys. It's official. *fistbumps*
I was planning on picking up the latest Yen Plus anyway, just for the Maximum Ride poster.
But now I've got even more incentive to do so... >:3

Say again? The Kobato anime will crossover with Wish? Finally giving Wish fans the anime adaptation they've so longed for? Really? Seriously? You're not just pulling our collective leg?

When I graduate from KSU (in three years), I'm moving to Cheyenne, Wyoming. I've decided. :|
ALSO. HARUHI FANDOM. I can't be the only one sick of these Endless Eight episodes...
I mean, are they seriously going to last for eight episodes? OF THE SAME GODDAMN THING?
*pulls hair out*
Hmm, y'know? At first glance, this seems to be just another fluffy ecchi series with a milquetoast male lead... But then I looked a little closer and realized: It's a fluffy ecchi series with a milquetoast male lead who is played by Soichiro Hoshi. *A*
Decisions, decisions.

Now that I’ve seen and read almost everything there is to see and read about Slayers, I decided I’d post my thoughts on that most controversial of topics: shipping. DUN-DUN-DUUUN.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how one views it), I’m a relative newcomer to Slayers, meaning I’ve missed the infamous ship wars that took place when the series’ Internet fandom was at its peak. But apparently, they were quite the doozy. Even the English voice actors knew about them. XD
However, I always thought it was kinda strange to have such crimes of passion in a series where, really, romance always took a backseat to comedy and adventure. I mean, if even the series didn’t take itself seriously, why on earth should the fans? Then again, I was present for the equally-infamous Avatar ship wars, so maybe this shouldn’t come as so much of a surprise to me.
And actually, I quite enjoy the relationships that develop in this sort of traveling ensemble show, so…
( My thoughts on shipping, let me show you them. )
There you have it! My thoughts/opinions/what-have-you. Please feel free to discuss, debate, or lynch me if you feel so inclined. But do take pity on this poor fangirl who jumped on the bandwagon some fifteen years after the fact. ;3

So, in my class, there's this very serious, glasses-wearing guy who almost never laughs at any of our professor's jokes. He's not a bad guy, per se. Just...serious. You can tell that education is his first priority. Nothing wrong with that, of course. But not exactly someone I expect to have much in common with.
And today, he sat next to me.
We were getting close to the end of class, discussing similarities between Shakespeare and Vince McMahon, Christopher Marlowe and Tupac. Good times, all around. I was shuffling through my purse, looking for spare change to use in the snack machine afterwards. And while I was rooting around, this guy happened to glance over. Here's the conversation that ensued.
Him: The pins on your purse... Omigosh, are those from Kyou Kara Maou?
Me: Huh? Yeah, they are! See, here's Yuuri and Wolfram and...
Him: Conrad! Ooh, he's my favorite! :D
Me: ... :')
I've never seen a twenty-something man act so much like a teenage girl before. It was just so bizarre! You find fellow fans in the most unexpected places! Pretty much made my day. Although he did grope my Conrad pin just a bit longer than was absolutely necessary... Pfft.

Shuffle's original video game has been licensed.
I'll probably buy it.
And play it.
Because I'm a tool for dating sims.
AND DON'T YOU JUDGE ME. >:[
So, like, my buddy and I were discussing Kuroshitsuji's second season and how it could possibly make any sense after the FINALITY of the first season's finale, when she mentioned: "Did you notice that Sebastian's hand, the one with the symbol of their contract on it, was the hand that he lost during the final battle? I wonder if that has any significance?" In fact, I had NOT noticed that and now I can't stop wondering about it. Thoughts, flist?
Of course, even if the second season is a reboot or a continuation or makes no sense whatsoever, I'll still watch it. And love it. Because I'm a corporate tool. <3

So, Funimation was able to reunite the original Slayers cast for Revolution/Evolution-R! Very cool. Michael Sinterniklaas will be directing the dub and he'll also be voicing Xellos, the only casting change from the original. But since I really like Mikey, I don't mind. X3
Unrelated, but this will never not be funny. We always knew Sebastian was a crab, deep down.

Holy cow, you guys. I may or may not be losing my mind. Help me out here.
Go to Anime News Network. You see where it says "News" right above today's date? Well, move your mouse slightly to the left of that. There! Did you see it? That shadowy figure that appeared inside the blue margin? Click on it. Then...WTF? A countdown? A countdown to what? An announcement? Otakon? THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT?
Ahhh, I'm going crazy trying to figure it out! D:

So, I went to see KSU's production of Moby-Dick tonight with Mum.
It was REALLY cool. The dialogue was trilingual (English, French, Arabic) in preparation for the show's performance in Morocco.
But, man... The costumes! The choreography! The creativity!
They did a great job, no lie. <3

Mum was kind enough to give me a Borders coupon today, so I was able to go hog-wild at the mall. >:3
The entire trip seemed to consist of my exclamations while browsing the manga section:
"Oh, there's a Maximum Ride manga! I had no idea!"
"Oh, there's a Lucky Star manga! I had no idea!"
"Oh, there's a KirePapa manga! I had no idea!"
All of which meant nothing to my mother, but at least I had fun. XD
